On March 13, 2002, plaintiff Peter Brandenburg was a passenger in a car driven by defendant Odus Turner.   The men were returning to New Florence Wood Products, their place of employment, from their dinner break.  The vehicle crested a hill at a high rate of speed.  Below the hill, the roadway was partially blocked by a New Florence front end loader and part of the pickup truck of Gary Brock.  The vehicle plaintiff was in struck the rear of the front end loader and veered of the roadway.  Plaintiff allegedly sustained injuries in the incident.  At trial, counsel for plaintiff requested an award between $100,000 and $200,000.
