A slip and fall. Plaintiff Dawn Power allegedly
slipped and fell in defendant’s restaurant and claimed that she ruptured
discs in her neck at C4-5, and C5-6, along with sustaining injuries to her
left shoulder. She claimed that the tile floor in the restaurant was wet and
that there were no wet floor signs or other warning to patrons to advise
them of the dangerous condition of the premises.
Plaintiff had a cervical fusion at C4-5 and C5-6, which she and her doctor claim was the result of the fall. Her husband made a claim for loss of services based upon his wife’s limited functional capacity after the fall and her surgery. Her claimed medical specials were approximately $45,000.00. Her alleged lost wages were $12,500.00 Plaintiffs asked the jury to return a verdict in their favor in the amount of $220,000.00 |
